Hi! I'm so happy you're here!!!Hey — I’m Sammy!
My Story
I am a Mainer by heart and a photographer by trade. I grew up on Westport Island (one of the few) on the coast of Maine. I’ll take a coffee anytime and campfires at the beach to watch the sun set. Always bring your dog to one of our sessions— Warning, though, I will want to take it home by the end!
I strive to make my life a party and celebrate all the moments I can, so why not help celebrate others for them to look back on?

My Photography Philosophy
My approach to photography is rooted in observation, honesty, and the belief that the most meaningful images are those that feel lived-in rather than constructed. As a documentary photographer working primarily with weddings and senior portraits across Maine and throughout New England, I am drawn to the quiet, unscripted moments that reveal something true—fleeting glances, nervous laughter, the way light settles on a face when someone forgets they’re being photographed.
I don’t see my role as directing or staging life, but as paying close enough attention to preserve it as it naturally unfolds. Weddings, in particular, are filled with emotion that can’t be replicated: anticipation, joy, tension, nostalgia. My goal is to move through that space with intention and sensitivity, capturing not just what it looked like, but what it felt like to be there. The same philosophy carries into my senior work, where I aim to reflect each individual as they are in this transitional moment—unpolished, evolving, and real.
I value authenticity over perfection. Rather than chasing idealized images, I focus on connection, atmosphere, and story. I want my photographs to hold weight over time—to feel just as honest years later as they did in the moment they were taken.
Ultimately, photography, to me, is about preservation of truth in a world that often encourages performance. It is about slowing down, noticing, and honoring the beauty that already exists without interference. My work is less about creating moments and more about recognizing them.
